Only DXF files are accepted — got a DWG? How to convert
DWG is a proprietary AutoCAD format that can only be converted with paid services. DXF is the open, text-based equivalent — and every CAD program can export to DXF in one click. Here's how:
- AutoCAD: File → Save As → set "Files of type" to AutoCAD DXF (*.dxf).
- AutoCAD LT / 2018+: Type DXFOUT in the command line and press Enter.
- DraftSight / BricsCAD / ZWCAD: File → Save As → choose "DXF" as the file format.
- LibreCAD (free): Open the DWG, then File → Save As → DXF. (Note: LibreCAD opens DWG via a helper, so this works for most files.)
- No CAD software? Download the free ODA File Converter (Open Design Alliance) — it converts DWG to DXF in batches.
Tip: Save as ASCII DXF (the default), not Binary DXF — binary files cannot be read in the browser.
Your file is processed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to any server.
